Hazelnut Cream CakeWe do one cake each week for sale by the slice (or the whole cake if you catch it before we sell the first slice!). We also do cakes by special order.

You’ll need to give us 72 hours advance notice, and we will need to ensure that the order board for our part-time cake chef is not already full, but oh, it is worth it!

Cupcakes!Cupcakes are also available every day in at least one flavor. We do both gluten-free and traditional cupcakes every day! They can also be special-ordered.

Here is a list of the current selection of Newberg Bakery cakes:

  • Double Chocolate –moist chocolate cake layered with rich dark chocolate buttercream
  • Lemon Cream – lemon cake made with fresh lemon juice and zest layered with fresh lemon Swiss buttercream
  • Orange Cream –orange cake made with fresh orange juice and zest layered with fresh orange Swiss buttercream
  • Hazelnut Cream – vanilla cake with ground toasted hazelnuts folded into the batter layered with Swiss buttercream made with hazelnut butter, and coated with toasted hazelnuts
  • German Chocolate – moist chocolate cake layered with coconut-toasted pecan filling, coated in rich dark chocolate buttercream and drizzled with chocolate ganache
  • Carrot – spice cake made with shredded carrots, dried cranberries, and toasted pecans, layered with cream cheese frosting and coated with toasted pecans
  • Chocolate Vanilla – moist chocolate cake layered with vanilla Swiss buttercream
  • Chocolate Berry (seasonal) – moist chocolate cake layered with Swiss buttercream made with pureed berries (choice of marionberry, blueberry, strawberry, or raspberry depending on availability)
  • Vanilla Berry (seasonal) – vanilla cake layered with Swiss buttercream made with pureed berries (choice of marionberry, blueberry, strawberry, or raspberry depending on availability)
  • Chocolate Almond – Moist chocolate cake layered with almond cream, coated in chocolate ganache frosting and sliced almonds.
  • Mayan Chocolate – Moist chocolate cake made with cinnamon, chili powder and cayenne pepper, layered with rich dark chocolate cinnamon buttercream frosting.
  • Burnt Sugar – Moist cake made with burnt sugar and maple syrup, layered with cream cheese frosting and topped with candied pecans. (Unavailable in gluten-free or dairy-free versions).
